Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

• What is it? Virtual Hosting (above) is a form of IaaS: basically you are leasing computing power. Full IaaS allows you to lease any infrastructure service which will be provided by us through our infrastructure in the BT Data Centre. In its most complete form, you could move all the servers and applications from your offices and allow us to host them for you.
• Who would use it? Any organisation considering an infrastructure refresh: It may be more strategic or cost effective to move your core computing function to our Data Centre and retain only PCs, laptops and terminals in your offices.
• What's involved? We will work with you to devise a plan to transform your existing computing environment to our Data Centre environment. We will organise high speed LAN connectivity over shared or private links to your offices and manage your core ICT services from our Data Centre.
