Web Filtering
- What is it? Both legislation and company policy are increasingly requiring that organisations can provide a full historical chronology of each employees web browsing habits, as well as automatically preventing access to unauthorised or illegal content.
- Who would use it? Most organisations who permit their Internet connection to be used for web browsing.
- What's involved? Implementing a reputable web content filtering product which has a dynamic engine to test web pages against a pre-determined access policy, usually installed on a dedicated server instance. Users on a Windows network will not notice any difference to web browsing, other than occasionally web pages they try to access may be 'blocked' from viewing.
