Penetration Testing
- What is it? How secure is your network and the data stored on it? Do the security measures that have been put in place match the threat level? A penetration test assesses the threats to your network and tests the security on the perimeter of your network and optionally inside your network as well. As the test is carried out by a 3rd party like us, then anything that was overlooked by the implementation team is more likely to be discovered.
- Who would use it? Any organisation that stores sensitive data electronically and needs the independant assurance that the security measures in place are adequate and proportional to the threats to the environment.
- What's involved? Agreeing the scope of the penetration test, completing legal paperwork that we are allowed and permitted to perform the intrusive testing and then carrying out the procedures over a period of time. Ensuring that all staff are not aware of the testing is paramount to ensure accurate results.
